Changes to the conditions of the 4G LTE Option

The 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) option allows you to access 3’s high-speed data network. In order to navigate on 3’s LTE network it is necessary to:
  • have the 4G LTE option active on your SIM
  • use terminals compatible with the 1800 MHz LTE technology
  • be under coverage of 3’s 4G LTE data network
The data traffic under the LTE coverage will have the same costs of the data services standard with the 3G UMTS net and will follow the costs of your plan. The voice service is provided by the UMTS net. The G LTE option is active on you SIM as for the offer’s subscription.

Starting August 29, 2016 according to the evolution of the economical structure of the offer of the services provided by 3, the renewal fee of the 4G LTE option will shift from 0,82 € to 1 € per month (VAT included). The clients affected by the change in price of the 4G LTE option will receive a communication by 3 via text.

By August 22, 2016 It’s possible to reserve the free of charge deactivation of the 4G LTE option by sending a text with “NO” to 4139.
  • The deactivation request will be considered and confirmed by a text
  • The 4G LTE option will be deactivated before October 15
  • Up to the deactivation of the option you’ll be able to use the 4G LTE net without additional charges
Also the users with a data SIM with an Internet plan will be able to reserve the deactivation of the 4G LTE option by accessing the 3’s Customer Area at the following link https://areaclienti3.tre.it and the section “Active Options”. From 23 to 28 August it’s possible to deactivate free of charge the 4G LTE option, by accessing the 3’s Customer Area at the following link https://areaclienti3.tre.it or on the 3’s Customers App.
Starting from the first charge, the 4G LTE option will be activated authomatically each 30 days and it will always be possible to deactivate it free of charge or by accessing the 3’s Customer Area. The deactivation of the 4G LTE option on your smartphone or tablet won’t deactivate also the 4G LTE option as well.
The deactivation of the 4G LTE option will not change the options of the other conditions according to the chosen subscription and will eventually always give the chance to use the 3G net. By keeping the 4G LTE option active, that will give the chance to use the LTE high speed 3 connection, starting from August 29 there is an automatic renovation each 30 days.:
  • For the prepaid plans, the monthly renewal will be charged on the credit of the SIM
  • For the plans, the monthly renewal will be charged on the August invoice and the chosen payment method.
