Changes in the offer terms and conditions for the 4G LTE Option

Starting from November 22, 2016

The 4G LTE option allows access to 3’s high-speed LTE data network.
In order to navigate on the LTE network it is necessary to:
  • have the 4G LTE option active on your SIM
  • use terminals compatible with the 1800 MHz LTE technology
  • be within coverage of 3’s 4G LTE data network
  • The data traffic made in LTE coverage continues to have the same rates as the standard data services under 3G UMTS net and erodes any data thresholds foreseen by your plan. The voice communication service is instead provided by the UMTS network.
The 4G LTE option is active on your SIM as established at the time of subscribing to the offer.

Starting from November 22, 2016, in the framework of the evolution of the economic structure of 3’s digital service offer, the renewal cost of the 4G LTE option goes from 0€ to 1€ per month (including VAT). The clients affected by the changes in the 4G LTE option price will receive communication in advance via SMS from 3.
It is possible to deactivate the 4G LTE option free of charge, up until November 21, 2016, accessing the 3 Customer Area , or through the 3 Customer Area App.
Starting from the first charge, the 4G LTE option will renew every 30 days and it will always be possible to deactivate it free of charge and to immediate effect, accessing the 3 Customer Area.
The deactivation of 4G LTE navigation in your smartphone or tablet’s settings doesn’t determine the deactivation of the 4G LTE option. The deactivation of the 4G LTE offer does not entail the variation of the other conditions connected with the offer subscribed to and it will still be possible to use data traffic in the 3G network.
If the 4G LTE option is active, allowing access to 3’s LTE high-speed data network, starting from November 22, 2016, it will be renewed automatically with payment every 30 days:
  • for the prepaid plans, the monthly renewal will be charged on the remaining credit
  • for the subscription plans, the monthly renewal of the option will be charged directly in the invoice, starting from the month of November, according to the current method of payment
